The real estate market in Latin America is still largely dominated by local players. For international investors the region is very attractive for its size, mainly due to Mexico and Brazil and, to a lesser extent, Chile and Colombia.
Among the main branches in the real estate sector, residential and, to a lesser extent, retail and shopping malls stand out. However, due to the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the sector has been largely affected by the isolation policies implemented by local governments.
In view of this, with the objective of studying the price behavior of properties inhabited by young professionals in Latin America, a study prepared by Navent in conjunction with Universidad Torcuato di Tella highlighted the cities with the most expensive square meters in the region.
